Tapered piston for big bore SLF YD-2 series.
This is a Teams brand product developed by YOKOMO DRIFT team members. One side of the piston surface has a conical shape, and the damping feel differs depending on the mounting direction.
It is possible to soften the damper's rebound by placing the cone downwards, and to soften the damper's compression by placing the cone upwards.
In addition, the piston holes are inclined diagonally to the shock absorber's operating direction, and the damping changes in response to a sudden compression input due to the action of fluid dynamics, and the movement passes through the gap while being soft in normal operation. Sometimes this has the effect of suppressing disturbances in chassis behavior with high damping force.
In the drift category, the damper setting is often set to be soft, but if too fluid a damper oil is used, oil will leak between the O-ring and the damper rod, and damper operation will be affected. Therefore, this tapered piston has a 6-hole design exclusively for drift, which has more holes than usual, and it's easy to avoid running out of oil by using oil around # 300.

Shipping times and rates

Shipping and delivery times:
